1. Social Responsibility & Sustainability

 

A. Salaries & Benefits, Working hours
Remuneration and benefits will be awarded in accordance with the legal requirements relating to minimum wage, overtime and statutory benefits. Working hours shall be defined in accordance with current legislation, industry standards or relevant International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions. Overtime shall be voluntary.

B. Prohibition of Child Labour
Within the scope of their respective activities, suppliers guarantee the absence of use of child labour under the terms of ILO Convention 182 in the production or processing of the products supplied and that the same products do not violate any obligations resulting from the Convention or any other applicable convention, as well as any national and/or international legislation relating to the combating of the exploitation of child labour.
In addition, suppliers shall ensure that their activities, suppliers and companies adopt a proactive approach to the implementation of measures to ensure the absence of use of child labour within the meaning of ILO Convention 182.
Suppliers commit to impose such obligation on all subcontracted companies and will carry out inspections and audits to this effect (when applicable). VTXRM can assess the validity of this commitment, with the suppliers submitting evidence of the measures taken, upon VTXRM’s request.

C. Prohibition of Forced Labour
Suppliers undertake an obligation not to employ any individual against their will or force any individual to work.

D. Liberty of Association
It should be possible for employees to communicate openly with management regarding working conditions without fear of reprisals of any kind. Employees have the right to associate freely, belong to labour unions, seek representation and belong to workers’ committees.

E. Non-Discrimination Measures
Harassment or discrimination of employees in any form or by any means is not acceptable. This applies to, but is not limited to, aspects relating to gender, race, caste, colour, disability, union membership, political opinion, nationality, religion, age, pregnancy and sexual orientation.


2. Norms

 

A. Quality
To be a VTXRM supplier, you must comply with the legal requirements associated with your activity, including licensing, insurance, specialized training for employees and the use of approved equipment. When requested, send the certificates that VTXRM considers relevant for the qualification.

Suppliers are suggested to follow these guidelines:

  • Respect the specifications or purchase order sent, the signed contract and general purchasing conditions;
  • Comply with the standards and/or approvals defined and accepted for the specific supply;
  • According to NP EN ISO 9001, the supplier is subject to performance evaluation based on (when applicable):
    • Offer conditions
    • Capacity
    • Quality
    • Customer Care
    • Other relevant requirements depending on the services/goods provided

B. Environment
Suppliers must pay special attention to good environmental practices. When applicable, the following rules should be followed:

  • Use natural resources in a regulated and rational manner;
  • Dispose of waste in appropriate places (ecopoints or containers);
  • Avoid leaks or spills of any substances – if they occur, inform the responsible person immediately and take containment measures;
  • It is forbidden to discharge chemical products into soil, water, or drains;
  • Waste transportation must comply with legal requirements, including issuance of Waste Management Documents;
  • Transporters must comply with current transport regulations;
  • Services generating noise must comply with General Noise Regulation requirements.

C. Safety Practices
Within VTXRM premises, general safety rules are:

  • Wear identification while on-site;
  • Do not work under the influence of substances that impair performance;
  • Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and not altered in safety conditions, and must be operated by qualified personnel;
  • Use appropriate and approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based on activities and substances in use;
  • Do not use materials or products that contain substances prohibited or restricted by law;
  • Keep the workplace clean and organized.

3. Ethics

 

A. Anti-Corruption and Compliance Measures
Suppliers commit to not engage in any legally punishable practices such as fraud, embezzlement, insolvency-related offences, competition law violations, unlawful advantages, accepting benefits or bribes, or other corrupt practices by their employees or third parties.
If any such practice occurs, VTXRM reserves the right to terminate all dealings and cancel agreements with the supplier.
Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their dealings with VTXRM.

B. Confidentiality
Services/goods provided under contract must be handled with strict confidentiality. Suppliers may not use or disclose any technical information or documents received from VTXRM for purposes other than contract execution, unless authorized in writing.
This obligation remains valid even after the contract ends. Suppliers must ensure their staff also uphold this confidentiality. Upon contract termination, all documents received must be returned to VTXRM.
