Senior Backend Developer
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our Nearshore team, focusing on creating solutions for VW Financial Services. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend of VW applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend components using C# and .NET Framework
- Build and extend RESTful APIs for core services and system integrations
- Lead and participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers when needed
- Conduct unit and integration testing, diagnosing issues, and ensure performance
- Work closely with analysts and product teams to understand business needs
- Operate within Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprints and planning sessions
- Contribute to refactoring and improving existing systems for better maintainability and scalability
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of backend development experience with C# and .NET Framework
- Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably SQL Server or Oracle
- Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and clean architecture
- Hands-on experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks
- Proficient with Visual Studio, source control systems, and deployment practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to quality
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory for daily communication and documentation
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to .NET Core / .NET 6+ and migration projects
- Experience with containerization (Docker) or CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Knowledge or experience in the financial services industry
Education & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, if required.
- Great Communications skills and fluency in English (mandatory)
